I was wondering if I could rack your brains. I am in the Young Women presidency in our ward (Well, actually I
am the Young Women presidency in our ward since we only have one young woman, but we combine with another ward who is also pretty small.) and we will be planning our activities for the next year soon. I wanted to hear of some of your favorite activities as young women or ideas that you think would be fun to do with the young women. Thanks!

A service one I remember was having a service scavenger hunt.
We split up and had a list of different kinds of service we could do, like vacuuming, weeding, cleaning some part of the house, (bathroom, kitchen things), empty garbage etc. for people in the ward.
We would take certain areas and then see who could do the most service in the one night.
( I think the person had to sign the paper saying what we did)
I will remember more and then email you
bob dog and mel. Check out my pimped out blog @ mini-wheats.blogspot.com. I think it might be blocked which means i would have to envite you. How do i do that?
Thanks for the idea Jen!
-have a music night where we teach the girls how to lead music (and then let them take turns during classes on Sunday using their new talent), then do another musical activity like make an orchestra with household items or learn a hymn (making sure they understand what the hymn means, and sing it at different tempos and volumes). Or teach them about the different parts of the hymn book (scriptures, tune names and meters, etc.) and how they can use them.
-have a civic responsibility night- have the girls write letters to local leaders thanking them for their work and petitioning about what they think is important
-Play Latter-Day prophet bingo. Maybe have each of the leaders tell a brief story or give background info on a prophet as well.
- Card making-make thank you or b-day cards for the girls to give out.
